3rd - Meeting with Stagecoach about ‘Get on Board’ followed by campaign planning back at work, casework and sabb team photos on the hill.
4th - 7th - Action Through Advocacy NUS Residential Training
8th - Hales Place Community Fun on the Hill Day – fantastic day for local residents and got fab press coverage afterwards.
10th – Access to Learning Fund Panel meeting (where myself, a college master and the finance office assess applications and make grants), worked on the liberation pages on the website,  but first we had to clear up from Saturdays Fun on the Hill event.
11th – Weekly sabb team meeting and nightbus meeting to find out the plans for this year.
13th - Hales Place Neighbourhood Event planning meeting at St Stephens Community Centre.
14th - Dissertation day! Got 2,500 words done – personal best J (annual leave).
15th - 16th - Labour Students Key Activists Training in Leeds. Met lots of fab union officers!
17th - Worked today from Pret on Victoria Street in London – website updating and emails mainly.
18th - 20th - Unipol training in Leeds - Student Housing - the Market, the Community and What Students' Unions Can Do . Fantastic event, lots of ideas for commUNIty reps scheme and working with the accreditation scheme.
24th - Met with Emma Manwaring, Canterbury City Council’s Housing Accreditation Officer about CommUNIty Representatives scheme and housing accreditation.
25th – Weekly sabb meeting, catch up with Caz Brooker (now working at campusmediauk) about how we can work together on ‘Safe and Sounds’ in Welcome Week followed by meeting Kent Union’s Finance Director to discuss our July accounts.
26th – First thing today did a presentation for Kent Union’s directors about our sabbatical plans for the year ahead!
27th – Planned support for off-campus first year students with Louise (our Marketing Manager) today – check out www.kentunion.co.uk/offcampus for more info!
28th – Dissertation day in the library (annual leave).
29th – Travelled up to Loughborough for the ICC Cheerleading Nations Best competition – came away with a lovely third place medal and other members of the team got 1st and 2nd places for dance, cheer and jump entries J
30th – Leave Canterbury for holiday to Barcelona! Back on the 6th September.
