No, I’m not about to start rambling about aliens and space travel. Ok, so that was my attempt at being funny, for much better jokes take a look at Ben Alonso’s Blog! Instead I am writing because I am wondering what the point of this whole blogging thing is?
If you’re reading this on the Kent Union website – fab! (Although you may be wondering ‘how do I comment on this?’). If you’re reading this on facebook then you’re probably a friend of mine, right? (If you’re reading this somewhere else… then someone has stolen my blog!)
Personally I see blogging as a way for students to discover my opinions on issues affecting them and to allow people to see what I’m up to (without following me around all the time!). But will students read this or will it just be my friends and other union officers? Is it a bad thing if our blogs are only read by union officers?
Basically this is a plea for input. I have some ideas about what I plan to write about and will obviously be responding to current student issues, but what do you want to see me writing about? How do you want us to communicate? What would make you read the sabb blogs? What would make your friends read them? Would a video blog float your boat? Do you want sabbs blogging weekly? Do you have any topics you would like to know our innermost thoughts on?
